Forever Uplifted

Thank You

WOW! I have no words.

Well, actually, I have a lot of words but not the right ones.

Except, grateful.

My goodness, the outpouring of support was, I shouldn't say, unexpected because you people are fantastic, but you are busy too. I am overwhelming happy!

Remember, I thought I might throw a party, and no one would come?

But you did. And you brought friends!

EVERY Friday night they came to ZZest. If they couldn’t make it they called. I’m so glad I got to see Don and Judy again!

These friends made it back! Thank you Grantmans!

It was glorious to see so many familiar faces.

And the stories… [ I have blog posts for months!]

"We were just married and dirt poor; if we had extra dollars to spend, we would go to ZZest Market, and spend it on A piece of cheese. Then go home and eat it on saltine crackers."

"I still think about the Acini de Pepi that Chef Justin Schoville made; it was perfection. "

The gifts [not necessary], but the ones I received were thoughtful and were 1000% ME! Literally, a family possession that brings me to tears.

The smiles, the hugs. The friends that stopped by and shared wine with me. The wishes for success, ALL of THAT will stay with me forever! I seriously feel like I was allowed a glimpse of my own eulogy. I can die happy.

Well, no plans yet.

The deluge of social media shares and likes is insane. I never thought that was achievable for me. Yet, it's an essential piece of the new age marketing, and I struggle to get that done. Tiffany, is responsible and deserves the role as THE small business cheer leader for sure!

Your likes and shares send my news and business much farther than I can do alone, thank you.

I no longer have the heavy, sad feeling when I say ZZest. It's back, and it's FU! Go where you want with that one. Fully Unabashed.

I met some new people. A little boy took about 15 business cards to "spread the word." A very outgoing and fun-to-talk-to woman hopes to open a downtown retail space and bring in ethically sourced, fair trade home goods. She loves antiques and repurposing. Best friends! New Italian residents, you surely get it! Some of those college kids. They even get it!

So many enthusiastic neighbors stopped for a peak. I might not have acknowledged you all as much as I should have. Please know, if you get this, how much I appreciate it. It makes my head go in a million directions of Food UNIONS! Starting with that amazing Popus Farms mushroom popcorn. Mushroom is just the delightfully BIG bursts of the best snack ever. They were kind enough to pop up some with no flavor added, and then I put a little "mushroom" in it with truffle salt and butter. That is a dynamic duo, a Food Union.

I'm here on Saturday, quickly reordering to stock my shelves! I don't know what to think about Saturdays downtown. But I will give it a whirl a couple of times a month.

My thoughts right now for open hours are

Wednesday thru Friday, 11am to 6pm

Saturdays, March 23, April 8, and April 22

10 am to 3pm

I will likely be here on Tuesdays, maybe Mondays, for now. I have not moved my entire office down yet. OR the 40 years of Bon Appetit magazines. I'll put a sign out if I’m here, or just text me to find out!

I really want to have a special event or two on a Thursday evening. So in the works for Thursday, March 30, is local author Sheryl Ness. I wanted to make it a bit more intimate and, of course, tasty and fun. So we are selling this as a ticketed event as it is pretty small down here. Follow the link in the email. As always I am offering to you all first!

I'm so thankful, beholden, appreciative, blessed, grateful, and Forever Uplifted by you all.

A million hugs!

LeeAnn
